What are cookies?

This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are and how we use them, the types of cookies we use, the information we collect using cookies and how that information is used, and how to manage your cookie settings.

Cookies are small text files that are used to store small pieces of information. They are stored on your device when the website is loaded on your browser. These cookies help us make the website function properly, make it more secure, provide a better user experience, and understand how the website performs and where it needs improvement.

How do we use cookies?

Our website uses first-party and third-party cookies for several purposes. Necessary first-party cookies are required for the website to function correctly and do not collect any of your personally identifiable data. We also use analytics cookies (Google Analytics) and advertising cookies (Google Ads) to understand how visitors use our site and to show relevant advertisements. These non-essential cookies are only set after you have given your consent through our cookie banner.

When you first visit onbold.ai, we display a cookie consent banner before setting any cookies other than those strictly necessary for the site to function. You can change your preferences or withdraw your consent at any time using the cookie settings on our website.

Types of cookies we use

Necessary

Necessary cookies are required to enable the basic features of this site, such as remembering your consent preferences and allowing you to return to your merchant analysis session. These cookies do not store any personally identifiable data.

Cookie Duration Description
onbold_consent 180 days Stores your cookie consent preferences, including which categories of cookie you have accepted and when. Contains no personally identifiable information, only category flags and a timestamp. Version-checked so that material changes to our cookie practices will prompt you to review your preferences again.
onbold_resume_token 90 days Allows you to return to your merchant readiness analysis session without re-submitting your website. The token is a randomly generated credential stored as an HttpOnly cookie, meaning it cannot be read by JavaScript. After 90 days the token expires and the resume link stops working, even though your underlying lead record may be retained for longer. Treat your resume link like a password, because anyone with access to it can view the analysis results associated with your session, including your name, email address and phone number.
admin_session 7 days Authenticates Onbold's internal staff when they access the restricted admin area of onbold.ai. This cookie is not set for merchants or visitors who do not log in as administrators.
csrf_token Session Provides cross-site request forgery (CSRF) protection during administrator login and password-reset flows. This is a security measure that ensures form submissions originate from our own site. It is used only during the authentication flow and is not set for merchants or visitors.
onbold_attribution 90 days Remembers how you first arrived at onbold.ai — for example the marketing campaign, search engine, or website that referred you — so that, if you submit a merchant analysis, our team can see which channel introduced you. It is a first-party cookie containing only acquisition attributes (such as campaign, source, referrer and ad-click identifiers) and a timestamp; it holds no name, email, phone number or other directly identifying information, and it is never shared with third parties or used to track you across other websites.

Analytics

Analytics cookies help us understand how visitors interact with our website. We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) for this purpose. These cookies are first-party cookies set on the onbold.ai domain and send data to Google's servers for processing. They are only set with your consent.

Advertising

Advertising cookies are used to show you relevant advertisements and to measure the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns. We use Google Ads and Google Ads Remarketing for this purpose. Some of these cookies are set on the onbold.ai domain (first-party), while others are set by Google from its own domains (third-party). All advertising cookies are only set with your consent.
